The Founder and Director ~ Kenneth Miller
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Miller has been a veteran journalist for over four decades. A proud graduate of John C. Fremont High School in Los Angeles, where he is a member of the Hall of Fame, Kenneth Miller has made significant contributions to his community. Miller’s dedication extends beyond journalism as he impacts young people in a positive way through sports. Miller is currently the Dodgers Dreamteam Coordinator for the City of Inglewood Youth Sports League. Miller is the Founder and Director of the prestigious Collision All-Star basketball games; he has been instrumental in honoring student-athletes of all cultures since 2020 and will celebrate the games 25th year in April 2025. His commitment to recognizing and uplifting young talent has made a significant impact on countless lives.
Kenneth Miller is no stranger to selflessly serving underserved communities. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Miller has been a veteran journalist for over four decades. He has held prominent positions such as Managing Editor, Sports Editor, and Entertainment Editor simultaneously at the Los Angeles Sentinel. Additionally, he has served as President of the Cleveland Call & Post and Publisher of the Inglewood Today weekly publications.
While in Cleveland, Miller was appointed by County Executive Armond Budish to serve on the Cuyahoga Arts & Culture (CAC) Board of Trustees. Cuyahoga Arts & Culture is one of the largest public funders for arts and culture in the nation, helping hundreds of organizations in Cuyahoga County connect millions of people to cultural experiences each year. Since its inception in 2007, CAC has invested over $158 million in 350 organizations, both large and small, making the community a more vibrant place to live, work, and play.
Miller is also the founder of Our Global Humanity, an organization dedicated to helping individuals better their lives. Through Our Global Humanity, Miller has made it his life’s mission to foster positive change and provide support to those in need. Miller’s unwavering commitment to service, his influential career in journalism, and his efforts in promoting arts and culture underscore his dedication to making a difference. His work continues to inspire and uplift communities, making Kenneth Miller a beacon of hope and a true champion for the underserved.
The Game
Collision is a fun and celebratory exhibition High School All-Star basketball game. The game provides a final opportunity for high level local players from Southern California to showcase their skills against top players before moving on to compete in college. Collision also offers true hoop fans a chance to witness local stars one more time. The game also extends an opportunity for participants to boost their college recruitment prospects and fosters a sense of community among elite high school players. In 25 years, Collision has positively impacted the lives of over 500 student-athletes and celebrates an impressive list of alumni. Some who have advanced to participate on various collegiate and professional levels including the NBA.
